Welcome to Simon’s World!

Hello, and welcome to Simon’s World—a space where art, mindfulness, and self-discovery intertwine. In this very first post, I’d like to take you on a little journey into who I am, why I created this space, and what you can expect here. Let me start with an interview with myself, where I’ll share my story and the purpose behind Simon’s World.

Who is Simon, and why did you choose this name for your website?

Simon is, in a way, my second name. My full name is Lukas Simonis, and in Lithuanian, it would actually be written as Lukas Šimonis, with a unique letter we use. Over the years, I started using simonisluk as a nickname, which naturally made people think of me as Simon.

For me, Simon became something more—it represents my higher self, the best version of me, my ideal self. So, naming this website Simon’s World felt like the perfect choice to reflect my journey of self-improvement and creativity.

What inspired you to create this website?

This website is, above all, a personal space where I can express myself, reflect on my journey, and share my thoughts with others. I’ve struggled with mental health, and I know how important journaling and mindfulness can be for relaxing, processing emotions, and expressing thoughts.

Blogging feels like the best medium for me—it’s therapeutic, and at the same time, it allows me to connect with people who might find value or comfort in my experiences.

What kind of content can people expect from Simon’s World?

Simon’s World is a reflection of my eclectic interests and passions. You can expect:

  • Blog posts about science, biology, spirituality, and mental health struggles.
  • My art journey, including paintings and experiments with different techniques.
  • My thoughts on sustainability, vegetarianism, and protecting animal rights.
  • Updates on my interests in perfumery and skincare.
  • Stories about my life and personal growth.

It’s a little bit of everything that makes up who I am, wrapped up in one creative space.

How does your background shape the content of this website?

I’m 21 years old and originally from Lithuania, born in Kaunas, the second-largest city. I later moved to Vilnius to study interior design, then spent a few months in London before relocating to Italy.

While in Italy, I studied applied psychology at a German online university. Right now, I’m not studying formally—I’m exploring myself and documenting this process through this website. I believe that sharing my story, passions, and struggles might inspire others to embrace their own journeys.

What does art mean to you, and how does it reflect in your life?

For me, art is a language of emotions—a way to express what words often cannot. It’s about capturing and releasing feelings, whether they’re good or bad. I’m fascinated by how each artist chooses different techniques, tools, and styles to communicate similar emotions. Art, to me, is a beautiful, ever-evolving dialogue.

What role does sustainability play in Simon’s World?

Sustainability is a key part of Simon’s World. I’m a vegetarian and deeply care about animal rights. While I’m not a perfect activist, I strive to improve every day and do my part for the planet. Through this website, I hope to inspire others to explore ways to live more sustainably and ethically.

What’s your ultimate goal for Simon’s World?

My ultimate goal is to motivate people to search for their own “higher self,” their version of Simon. I want this website to serve as an example that encourages others to embrace mindfulness, creativity, and growth.

How do you see this website evolving over time?

In the long term, I hope Simon’s World gains traction on platforms like TikTok, Instagram, or YouTube, attracting a community of people interested in art, world issues, and self-improvement. I envision this becoming a space for shared inspiration and meaningful conversations.

If you could tell visitors one thing about yourself, what would it be?

I’m a people pleaser at heart. I genuinely enjoy helping others and making them feel valued. It’s a big part of who I am and why I created this space—to connect and give something back.

Why should people join Simon’s World?

You don’t need to “join” Simon’s World—it’s open to everyone. Whether you stay for a while or just take a quick peek, you’re welcome to explore and find something that resonates with you. And if you feel like it, we can continue this journey together, seeking something good and meaningful.

With love,
Simon 💛!
